A key component to Butler’s 2020 strategic vision was the creation of the Andre B. Lacy School of Business which completed in August 2019. This stunning new 110,000 sq. ft. facility centrally located on the beautiful Butler University campus took two years to complete construction. The School of Business has experienced a dramatic increase in student enrollment, so the timing is perfect to support this growing population and prepare students for local and national business opportunities.
The facility features collaborative classrooms, coworking spaces and collaboration opportunities throughout. Innovation Commons is an area surrounding the Atrium that is designed and furnished for students interested in starting their own businesses and to support other types of experiential learning. Additionally, food service, lounge areas and a rooftop deck foster an environment that encourages students and staff to stay a while.
Design 27 was part of the design team led locally by CSO Architects and nationally recognized Goody Clancy, a leading architectural firm with significant business school experience. Goody Clancy is based in Boston, MA. Design 27 provided full technology planning and design of all low voltage systems. We worked with the University to coordinate connectivity with campus fiber.
